  8. Hi and Thanks for your great work =). I just have a little question. When I'm reading documents in the game I have to disable 3D (with CRT+T) because convergence or depth is too high. Is there any trick or I am doing it wrong? Hey you other gamers. How are you handling it? Thanks for reading and excuse my english.

    1. Probably a little late now. But for others who might have bought Outlast in the sales.

Button 1 allows you to select presets. If you change your convergence (you will need to unlock it via the control panel to do this) Helix's mod should remember the setting for the preset you selected. Awesome!

    2. Better late then nerver =). Thank you for your answer. I recently played DmC with the last fix and it is just perfect with the Automatic convergence feature. I wonder if it's possible to do a such thing for this game? It would be really great!

      Delete
    3. Its not really practically in this game, but I agree its amazing in DmC

      Delete
    4. BTW, if your interested in more games with automatic convergence feature....
Devil May Cry 4, Enslaved, Amalur, Deadpool have same feature.
Deadpool practically no longer exists however....

  22. Hello!,

Thank you very much for the patch!

I followed the instructions, and it seems that the patch has been applied, and I notice a big change in 3D.
It looks fabulous on objects at medium and long range, but all the objects (or monster xD) that come towards me (for example when you open a door) are displayed twice.

Is there any way to fix this?
Did I perform the installation wrong?

    The steps I followed were:
1-Copy the "Win32" and "Win64" folders that are included in the patch in the Binaries folder of the game.
2 Change the "AllowNvidiaStereo3d" option in the OLEngine.ini file to "True" value.

Do I need to do something more?

Note: This is the normal version of Outlast and using the Nvidia 3D Vision system.

    Thank you!

    1. Are we talking about ghosting?
      Ghosting is this
      http://3dvision-blog.com/tag/ghost-reduction/

If not try downloading the whistleblower version. I havent tried the game since that came out and maybe the normal version changed as well.

      Delete
    2. err since before it came out.

    3. I think I've noticed some small ghosting, but that's not the problem, is something like this:
      http://3dvision-blog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/nfs-shift-menus.jpg

In the game only happens sometimes with objects very close to you.
But in game menus is continuous. If I open the game menu I see the two images separed with or without glasses, and is very difficult to get my eyes to pull them together.

Is it possible to have some other configuration that is affecting it?

I've tried installing the version of Whistler Blower, but still the same :(

    4. And thanks for reply!

    5. Have to ask on nvidia forums -> 3d vision section cause it just sounds like a vision issue to me.
If without 3D glasses you only see two seperate images thats correct.
If you put on glasses and still see two seperate images somethings wrong since that would take 4 images.

      Delete
    6. You may be right.

Anyway, as I said before, I can get to see the menu in a single image, but moving away from the screen and straining my eyes.
Could be something wrong with the convergence in any configuration? (because the depth seems fine)

I'll see if I can try another game (and your patch: P) and see if the same thing keeps happening to me.
If so, I'll try to go to the nvidia forum.

By the way, sorry if my English sounds strange, since I don't speak it well : P
      Thanks for everything!
